galglass, are fully committed to health, safety, and environmental issues. Our Safety Management System (SMS) has been accredited
by the British Safety Council since 2006. We are proud to announce we have been once more awarded the coveted 5 star BSC Award in
2010, being the third consecutive year we have achieved this award. As a company, we continually investing in our workforce to ensure
that our staff are part of a competent workforce, from top level management down to site based operatives. This is achieved by
regularly attending courses to suit the demands of our working practices.
Communication plays a vital part in our success in Health & Safety, and we ensure that all our staff are consulted in how we can improve
as a company, and how we can introduce better working practices within our company. This has a positive impact on our business,
ensuring that we deliver our products in a safe and controlled manner, with as little impact to the environment as possible.
Roles and responsibilities are allocated to all personnel under the company's Safety, Health, & Environmental Management system,
which ensures a culture of 'ownership' in each area of Health and Safety in our organisation.
galglass have been awarded several commendations as a result of our ongoing efforts in this area, including an International Safety
Award from the British Safety Council in consecutive years from 2006 until 2010 and having maintaining our 2010 5 star British
Safety Council Management System Audit for the last three years. We have as of July 2011 been fully accredited to BS OHSAS
18001:2007 standard in our occupational health and safety management system, and BS EN ISO 14001:2004 for our environmental
management system.
