galglass, are fully committed to health, safety, and environmental
issues. Our Safety Management System (SMS)has been accredited
by the British Safety Council since 2006. We are proud to announce we have been awarded
the coveted 5 star BSC Award in 2009. As a company, we continually
investing in our workforce to ensure that our staff are part of
a competent workforce, from top level management down to site based
operatives. This is achieved by regularly attending courses to suit the
demands of our working practices.
Communication plays a vital part in our success in Health & Safety,
and we ensure that all our staff are consulted in how we can improve as
a company, and how we can introduce better working practices within
our company. This has a positive impact on our business,
ensuring that we deliver our products in a safe and controlled
manner, with as little impact to the environment as possible.
Roles and responsibilities are allocated to all personnel under the
company’s Safety, Health, & Environmental Management system,
which ensures a culture of ‘ownership’ in each area
of Health and Safety in our organisation.

ongoing efforts in this area, including an International Safety Award from
the British Safety Council in 2006 and our 2009 5 star safety award.
