galglass, as one of the world leaders in the tank industry, are fully
committed and dedicated towards health, safety, and environmental
issues. This is demonstrated by our Safety Management System (SMS)
being accredited by the British Safety Council. As a company, we are
continually investing in our workforce to ensure that our staff are part of
a competent workforce, from top level management down to site based
operatives. This is achieved by regularly attending courses to suit the
demands of our working practices.
Communication plays a vital part in our success towards Health & Safety,
and we ensure that all our staff are consulted in how we can improve as
a company, and how we can introduce better working practices within
our company. This impacts on our business in a very positive way,
ensuring that we are delivering our products in a safe and controlled
manner, with as little affect to the environment as possible.
Roles and responsibilities are allocated to all personnel under the
company’s Safety, Health, & Environmental Management system,
which ensures that there is a culture of ‘ownership’ towards each area
of Health and Safety matters in our organisation.
galglass have been awarded several commendations as a result of our
ongoing efforts in this area, including an International Safety Award from
the British Safety Council in 2006.
