Shortlisted in the Construction News Specialist Contractor Awards 2012
We are delighted to announce that Galglass have been shortlisted in two major categories for the highly prestigious Construction News Specialist Contractor Awards 2012. The categories are:
Project Excellence (shortlist of 9) - our submission was based on the design and construction of the post-tensioned concrete digesters at Five Fords WwTW Wrexham, working with Costain as the main contractor.
Health & Safety (shortlist of 8) - our submission was based on our successful company-wide culture of and commitment to Health & Safety across all aspects of our operations.
These national awards are the "Oscars" of the specialist contracting world and are greatly sought-after. Year after year there are exceptional submissions from specialist companies that are excelling in their particular specialist areas, and submissions are judged by a panel of eminent judges from across the whole spectrum of the construction industry. Judging standards are extremely rigorous, so just to make it onto the shortlists as the only specialist tank company is a huge achievement of which we are all extremely proud.
We have been informed that judging is now complete, the decisions are in! So the team travels to London this March, where we hope to pick up some silverware!
