Think Safety - Act Safely
The Health and Safety Mission Statement that Paid Off - Galglass Ltd. are
pleased to announce that their Health and Safety mission
statement of 'Think Safety- Act Safely' has paid off. In October this year,
Galglass has achieved a much sought after milestone regarding their health
and safety performance, 1,000 RIDDOR-free days. RIDDOR free days are days
free from the 'Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences
Regulations: 1985'.
Over the last three and a half years Galglass have undertaken all of their
site and factory works without having an accident or incident in which any
of their work-force has missed more than three working days. This includes
both their manufacturing facility, as well as the numerous sites they have
worked on during that time period. Nigel Thornton (Health & Safety Manager)
highlights this result 'as clear evidence of our successful Health and
Safety procedures, benefitting both our employees and our customers'.
